Ritz Carlton Hong Kong

A room with a view

Size doesn’t matter. At least that’s what the ladies have been telling me over the last fifteen years. But if you look east to south-east, size does seem to matter. There is even some sort of competition going on about who has the biggest. Hotel that is. The Emirates and China (and Singapore) seem to be the competitors. And for now, China is winning.

The tallest hotel-skyscraper is being build as we speak, in Shanghai, next to the already impressive Park Hyatt Hotel. With it’s 600 meters it will be more than 100 meters higher than the tallest hotel at this moment, which is the Ritz-Carlton in Hong Kong. The presidential suite in this fancy hotel will set you back around 10.000 dollars euros a night. But at least you’ll be sure to have a nice view.

  1. Leuk, maar duur.. Het toont wel waar het geld zit tegenwoordig..
Toen ik mijn verblijf ik Singapura startte ben ik een cocktail gaan drinken in het Swissotel. Mooie tijden…

    • Thank you. You’re too kind. But I’d feel even better if you would have said: dear the.ego.tripper, it’s true, size doesn’t matter. But thanks anyway.

  2. LOL You know its funny one of the things I see the most said in hotel room reviews is their “too small” – really who actually STAYS in the room. But yes. Size seems to matter to many but I’ll attempt to repair the damage and say – “oh HECK no size doesn’t matter!” There, even a little emphasis for ya. ;) Thanks for popping by my blog, I think I’ll be looking to see if you have been places nearby to add some sites to my list to go!
