Size doesn’t matter. At least that’s what the ladies have been telling me over the last fifteen years. But if you look east to south-east, size does seem to matter. There is even some sort of competition going on about who has the biggest. Hotel that is. The Emirates and China (and Singapore) seem to be the competitors. And for now, China is winning.
The tallest hotel-skyscraper is being build as we speak, in Shanghai, next to the already impressive Park Hyatt Hotel. With it’s 600 meters it will be more than 100 meters higher than the tallest hotel at this moment, which is the Ritz-Carlton in Hong Kong. The presidential suite in this fancy hotel will set you back around 10.000 dollars euros a night. But at least you’ll be sure to have a nice view.
